How Did Makeup Forever's Aqua Shadow Stand Up to My Day? + GIVEAWAY!

Recently I was at Sephora again... surprise, surprise, I know.  Most of the time I go into just look, I swear, and it was one of those days exceppppt I came across this little amazing duo.
If you are unfamiliar with Makeup Forever, they are one of the higher end products that are carried at Sephora.  They have wonderful pigmentation in whatever product you are looking at and are loved by makeup artists everywhere and these little gems found in a duo? Yes, please!

From the Sephora website:
A smudge-proof, long-lasting eye shadow pencil that enhances and intensifies the eyes. Aqua Shadow’s intensely pigmented, waterproof formula provides immediate, rich color that will not smudge, crease, or fade. Created with silica powder, its ultra creamy texture glides effortlessly on the eyelid and blends easily for an even result. Incredibly simple to use, Aqua Shadow quickly creates a multitude of dynamic and colorful looks.

I have never tried these before, but if you looked at my Mommy's Makeup Kit, you know I love easy cream shadow.  And the fact that it's waterproof, smudge proof and won't crease or fade?  I had to try it. It comes with two colors (see swatches below). Each one of these retails for $20.

I even tried to smudge it:

 So check out what happened:
I didn't use a primer under these.  I used the coppery color (26E) first and then placed another color (which is the same brand, but a darker color, so it was easier to see, on top of it).

I put my makeup on at 8:30 am post shower:

And are you ready??
Below is what it looked like after more than 12 hours annnnd after:
  • A play group with baby J
  • A little nap (slept horribly last night, and I'm a belly sleeper!)
  • A sweaty hour-long workout
  • Browning meat for dinner
  • Steamy bath for little man
  • Numerous hugs and snuggles
Ew, ignore my crazy pores, but for real!  I'm pretty impressed! It lasted quite well for my semi-loaded, but normal day. It's not smudged or creased, and although the pigmentation isn't as strong, you can definitely tell there is a line there.  I took my makeup off after I took that picture and I had to use makeup remover to do it.

I would recommend it to any one who wants to put there makeup on in the morning and wants it to stay put.  And since I recommend it so much, I thought "why not give one away?!"
